Automotive Squint-Forward-Looking SAR: High Resolution and Early Warning
نویسندگان
چکیده
Forward-looking automotive radars can sense long-distant targets to enable early warning, but the lateral resolution is limited. Synthetic aperture radar (SAR) techniques achieve very high azimuth cannot resolve in forward direction. As a trade-off, squint-forward-looking SAR (SFL-SAR) perform 2D imaging on distant area squint moving direction, providing both and warning. In this paper, we analyzed derived constraints of SFL-SAR satisfy required braking distance. Simulations results verified analysis.

GMTI for Squint Looking XTI-SAR with Rotatable Forward-Looking Array
To realize ground moving target indication (GMTI) for a forward-looking array, we propose a novel synthetic aperture radar (SAR) system, called rotatable cross-track interferometry SAR (Ro-XTI-SAR), for squint-looking application in this paper. By changing the angle of the cross-track baseline, the interferometry phase component of squint-looking Ro-XTI-SAR caused by the terrain height can be a...
متن کاملA Forward-Looking High-Resolution GPR System
A high-resolution ground penetrating radar (GPR) system was designed to help define the optimal radar parameters needed for the efficient standoff detection of buried and surface-laid antitank mines. The design requirements call for a forward-looking GPR capable of detecting antitank mines in a 5 to 8 meter wide swath, 7 to 60 meters in front of a mobile platform. The system has a resolution go...
متن کاملEvaluation of automotive forward collision warning and collision avoidance algorithms
Collision warning/collision avoidance (CW/CA) systems target a major crash type and their development is a major thrust of the Intelligent Vehicle Initiative. They are a natural extension of adaptive cruise control systems already available on many car models. Many CW/CA algorithms have recently been proposed but the existing literature mainly focuses on algorithm development. Evaluations of th...
متن کاملGeneralized Nonlinear Chirp Scaling Algorithm for High-Resolution Highly Squint SAR Imaging
This paper presents a modified approach for high-resolution, highly squint synthetic aperture radar (SAR) data processing. Several nonlinear chirp scaling (NLCS) algorithms have been proposed to solve the azimuth variance of the frequency modulation rates that are caused by the linear range walk correction (LRWC). However, the azimuth depth of focusing (ADOF) is not handled well by these algori...
متن کاملA Variable Prf Imaging Method for High Squint Diving Sar
The high squint diving SAR is widely used to provide the information in advance. Large squint angle deduces the deeper coupling of range and azimuth of SAR echoes which makes SAR imaging more difficult. Especially, the large range migration of the deep couple heavily burdens the imaging processing time and storage units. The diving motion of platform worsens the situation. This paper proposes t...
